At Exterior Architecture (Exa), we’re not just another landscape practice. You’ll join a collaborative studio that’s big enough to deliver landmark projects, but agile enough to give you real responsibility and creative input early in your career.
As a Graduate Landscape Architect, you’ll support our team in planning, designing, and delivering diverse projects – from urban regeneration and public realm schemes to residential, masterplanning, and infrastructure landscapes. You’ll be encouraged to explore ideas, develop your technical skills, and build confidence as you take your first steps toward professional chartership.
What We’re Looking For
A degree in Landscape Architecture (or equivalent)
0–2 years’ experience in a landscape practice
Enthusiasm for sustainable and creative design
A good eye for detail and developing technical awareness
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite, Revit and Keyscape desirable
A collaborative attitude and a willingness to learn

Landscape Architect Role Overview
Location: London and Manchester
We’re looking for a Landscape Architect with around 3–6 years’ experience to join our growing design-led team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile, multidisciplinary projects and contribute to innovative, sustainable landscapes that make a difference.
At ExA, you’ll be part of a studio culture that values creativity, technical and design excellence, and collaboration. You’ll have the autonomy to shape your own projects, mentor graduates, and continue your development toward chartership with full support from our senior team.
What You’ll Do
Hep lead design input across a range of project types – public realm, infrastructure, residential, and masterplanning
Develop design concepts and detailed technical packages
Help coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors
Contribute to project management, reporting and site inspections
Mentor and support graduate team members
Stay engaged with new trends, materials, and sustainable design practices
What We’re Looking For
A degree in Landscape Architecture and 3 – 6 years’ experience in practice
Strong technical skills, and skilled in AutoCAD, Revit, Keyscape and Adobe Creative Suite
Excellent design skills
Confident verbal and written communication skills
A proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration
Ambition to achieve LI Chartership
