Position:    Experienced Landscape Planner

Hours:        Part/Full time

The Landmark Practice is a flourishing, award winning, independent consultancy and member of the Landscape Institute (LI), supporting both public and private sector clients across a variety of sectors including conservation/habitat management, renewable energy, leisure, residential, education and commercial development.  Offering landscape, ecology, EIA and visualisation/graphics services we are big fans of collaborative working and a holistic approach to development that truly delivers multifunctional green infrastructure and ecosystem services.

We are proud to have worked safely and productively throughout the Pandemic without furloughing a single member of our team.  Due to a steadily increasing order book, we are currently seeking a Senior Landscape Planner to join us.

You should possess sound knowledge and experience of landscape planning, in particular significant experience of leading on landscape and visual impact assessments.  Ideally you will have at least five years’ experience working in the private or public sector and be a chartered member of the LI.  You should also have a genuine interest in working in a multi-disciplinary environment, where ecologists and environmental planners work with the landscape team to deliver an integrated approach.

 

The key candidate requirements for the role are:

Experience of delivering landscape work (LVIA, TVIA and EIA technical reports landscape strategies and masterplans)
Understanding and experience of working in the UK planning system
A confident, positive and proactive approach
Good communication skills and ability to prepare clear, concise output
Excellent time and task management skills
A full UK driving licence

In 2020 we were finalists with Habitat First Group in the Landscape Institute’s Building with Nature Award. The Landmark Practice’s landscape scheme for the Royal National College for the Blind received the 2011 Heart of England in Bloom Award for Outstanding Merit. In 2007 the practice was awarded the first RTPI Environmental Planning and Protection Award.
