Are you interested in shaping landscape education? Are you a practicing landscape professional who can volunteer a small amount of time (mostly online) once a quarter to support future landscape professionals? The University of East London is looking for new members for its Professional Review Group (PRG).

The role of a PRG is to act as a critical friend to their Landscape Institute (LI) accredited university. Across the country PRGs play this vital role, which supports academic excellence and the development of the next generation of landscape professionals. In addition to supporting their university, PRGs also provide an effective link between the LI, landscape profession and teaching staff and students. Membership of a PRG also enables LI members to gain excellent CPD and make a real contribution to this vital area of work. It is therefore important that PRG members are both highly qualified and experienced practitioners. The LI supports PRGs via training webinars, and through general correspondence with PRG members.

The University of East London has a number of well-established LI-accredited Landscape Architecture post-graduate courses and our students go on to work across a wide range of practices in the UK and abroad. We are proud to be a diverse institution that supports students coming from both traditional and non-traditional education backgrounds. We expect high standards from our students and our teaching aims to broaden students’ thinking and prepare them for practice.

We hold quarterly meetings with our PRG (typically held online) and representatives from the PRG visit our campus in Docklands to meet with students once a term. You will also be invited to special events to celebrate the students’ achievements.

If you feel you can make a difference and are keen to support students and academics in the delivery of high-quality education then please apply by emailing c.penny@uel.ac.uk by the 31st of January 2022.

To apply for this job email your details to C.Penny@uel.ac.uk.
