To ensure that the highest standards of landscape design are achieved in Medway
Provide specialist landscape design advice to the Council’s Development Management and Planning Policy staff and take responsibility for specific strategic landscape projects.
Provide landscape design advice to applicants, council officers and councillors throughout the planning process – from pre-application to planning applications and appeals, This includes dealing with major planning applications and development proposals.
Contribute landscape expertise to regeneration initiatives for a range of key sites, including the preparation of planning briefs, area action plans, masterplans, landscape strategies and scheme designs.
Commission, manage and administer landscape projects (including work by external consultants)
Develop concept, sketch and detailed proposals for environmental improvement schemes; including multi-disciplinary team (eg. engineers) liaison to secure their implementation.
Contribute to positive engagement with local communities and other stakeholders, participating in multi-disciplinary project teams and leading on landscape related matters.
