Jon Sheaff and Associates is an award-winning landscape architectural practice delivering public realm and public open space projects across the UK.
Over the past six years, we’ve built a reputation for innovative thinking and have established strong relationships with our clients based on a commitment to excellence in everything that we do.
Current and recent projects include the restoration of the Greenwich Park (for the Royal Parks), the development of a new Open Space Strategy and Natural Capital Account for the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, the development of a new masterplan for Edgbaston Reservoir in Birmingham and the refurbishment of Silkstream Park in the London Borough of Barnet.
To help us to take the development of the practice to the next stage, we wish to recruit two new landscape architects to join us in our friendly London Fields office:
For this position, we are looking for an experienced professional with at least 10 years of work experience in a consultancy environment. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a strong track record in client and project management, an ambition for business development and a clear capacity to lead and to motivate. Applicants should also be creative designers with the technical ability and experience to produce new and original work and to develop strong relationships with existing and new clients.
The Executive Director will work closely with the existing senior management team to identify and to develop new business opportunities to complement our existing portfolio. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in housing, public realm and urban design. The successful candidate will have the experience to be able to communicate effectively orally, graphically and in written media.

Associate Landscape Architect
The Associate Landscape Architect will have at least 5 years post-qualification experience in a design studio and a varied portfolio of work expressed in freehand, CAD and written forms. This post requires a degree and/or a post-graduate qualification and full Chartership status. Proficiency in 3D CAD, Photoshop and In Design are minimum requirements.
We are looking for a candidate who has experience of managing a team of landscape architects and of taking ownership of the delivery of significant projects. Our Associate Landscape Architect will develop new and innovative design and strategic thinking, sustain the highest possible standards of project outputs, develop strong relationships with clients and communicate these effectively graphically, orally and in written form.
This is a key position in the company and we are interested in candidates with a genuine ambition to develop and deliver outstanding public realm strategy and design, to develop their careers and to make a significant contribution to the company.
